The A+ Technical Training Program

JES & Co. provides everything schools need  to begin offering the Encompass Academy A+ program to their students. District Support includes:
  • Pre-training self-assessment for Trainer Preparation to determine objectives.
  • Teacher Training (Trainer Preparation for the school’s teacher.)
  • On-line and Telephone Support of Courseware.
  • Post-Trainer Preparation Evaluation to measure success of initial objectives.
  • On-going measurement of overall program effectiveness.
The A+ Certification program is administered by the Computing Technology Industry Association, CompTIA, made up of more than 450 organizations that have defined the skills needed by a competent microcomputer technician. A+ Certification is recognized worldwide as a standard of competency in microcomputer support.

The Course:
The actual A+ Certified Service Technician course that the district will be prepared to offer its students is a 33-41 hour course that covers material found on both the Core A+ (hardware) certification test and the MS-DOS/Windows test. This course provides students with the hands-on experience and skills development necessary to install, service, and support microcomputers.
