Partnering to Acheive Community Involvement (PACI)
The PACI program's mission is to provide computer technology and expertise to organizations that specialize in youth activities and the expansion of social, educational and life skills. These organizations will be provided with computer equipment, software, and training. The program is by design, customizable to each participant's unique needs.
JES & Co. is piloting this program with the Ronald McDonald House of Tucson, providing children and families residing at the House with computer technology and Internet access. The goals are:
- to help the children remain in contact with teachers, family and friends back home.
- to keep the children current with schoolwork.
- to provide children the ability to access and explore the world while they are in treatment.
JES & Co. will provide a computer lab for the children and families residing at the Ronald McDonald House, conduct training for the staff, and provide training materials for the children, ensuring all children have the ability to access the lab. For those who do not already have Internet accounts, an account will be created for them to use while they are residing at the Ronald McDonald House.
Organizations participating in PACI are also encouraged to participate in JES & Co.'s Encompass Academy program: A+ Training, which provides industry standard computer hardware certification training, thus helping the participating organization gain self-sufficiency.
Funding for this pilot program as well as all future PACI programs is provided solely from corporate sponsorship and Partners in Education Members. The program will be fully managed and administered by JES & Co.
