Famous African American Research Students will apply the research process in a major project that involves several lessons. The students will read about and describe the lives of historical figures and their place in history. The student can use knowledge of the conventions of language and texts to construct meaning for a range of literary and informational texts for a variety or purposes. It's all Greek to me! Students will apply the research process in 3-4 class periods while in the library. They will have a choice of a variety of Ancient Greek related topics (as identified by their teacher and listed in the attachments). They will come to the library already having formulated questions of interest on their chosen topic and then seeking out answers using a variety of sources. 6
