Intel is dedicated to creating a 21st century workforce.

By sponsoring the publishing of high school appropriate curriculum, teacher training, and student kits, Intel has enabled JES & Co. to reach out to communities and states with Intel employees.

Including in the Intel Student Certification program are Comptias A+ and Network+ training programs. A+ is an intensive full year course that prepares the student to sit for the CompTIA A+ computer certification exams. Students who take this class must be highly motivated and already posses a strong computer background. The course emphasizes and focuses on the rigorous CompTIA A+ examinations. Network+ is an intensive full year course that will instruct the student in an industry wide, vendor-neutral certification program developed and sponsored by CompTIA.

The Network+ certification demonstrates a basic competency in the physical support of networking systems and a knowledge of the conceptual aspects of networking. Students will learn the concepts of the OSI 7-layer model, TCP/IP, Microsoft, Unix, Novell, and other network systems. A combination of lecture, independent study and hands on training are used.
