[edit] GEM Subject Vocabulary
The GEM subject scheme is used to identify the learning context in subject terms. E.g., "Arts" is used to denote the top-level of arts education with "Music" used to identify resources useful in the context of teaching and learning about music. The GEM subject scheme is not used to identify the "aboutness" of resources being described such as a resource about "Beethoven" or about "Jazz".
