Information relating to the core ASN Vocabulary.

[edit] ASN:US Application Profile (Properties)

The ASN:US Application Profile clarifies the use of the properties for the entities: Standard Document and Statement.

[edit] ASN Mapping Properties Development

Mapping properties in the ASN competency framework are under constant development based on community input. The Mapping Properties page contains a listing of mapping properties of concern in generating mappings among disparate competency schemes. Some of the properties have a stable status and others are under discussion/development.

[edit] Jurisdiction Controlled Vocabulary

This vocabulary is far from complete and is intended to grow as additional standards representing new jurisdictions are added to the ASN data store. Where necessary, jurisdictions existing in the vocabulary will be subdivided. Where ever possible, preferred labels and abbreviations are drawn from existing standards.

This vocabulary is deeply rooted in the U.S. Department of Education's Ed.gov vocabulary.

The subject (learning area subject) vocabulary is intended to provide a uniform categorization of achievement standards within the ASN.

This vocabulary describes the various publication statuses of ASN documents and statements.

[edit] Indexing Status Vocabulary

This vocabulary defines whether a statement should or should not be used in correlation work.

When a major change happens to the ASN open framework, it gets a new version number. We distribute and make available through web services only the most current export version of the ASN.
